Sweet William Blossoms grow their best in moderately rich, well-drained soil. Choose a spot that gets full sunlight for at least 6-8 hours a day. Remove the weeds & rocks, and till the soil to a depth of 8 inches. Sweet William Blossoms are planted in the summer, after the last frost of spring. Sow the seeds at a depth of ¼ inch and 3 inches apart.
Don’t allow the soil to dry out during the germination phase. Keep it evenly moist at all times. You will know that the seeds have germinated when they have grown to a height of 3 inches. At this stage, thin them to 12 inches apart. During the growing phase, you may have to thin them again. Keep an eye on their growth during this phase. Even though these plants grow slowly, they can still grow to be 3 feet high and 2 feet wide.
