A low-growing winter flower from Asteraceae family, that has been harvested for centuries in the Mediterranean region. This flower is ideal to plant in large bunch & grows fairly well with other flower variety. These perennial plants usually grow upto 7 to 12 inches and spread rapidly to cover the area surrounding the plant. Hence they are a great choice for flower beds, rock gardens & window sills. These plants are easy to grow and can thrive in sunny spaces. The flowers of the plant resemble a daisy with its white petals & yellow centre & green foliage. Pinching smaller flower buds will help in maintaining large size flower bulbs.
Planting instructions
You can start Chrysanthemum Paludosum White directly outside during spring or after rainy season in slightly moist soil. Germination should take about 12 to 14 days.
Soil should be collected in a garden pot mixed with well rotted cow dung or manure.
Broadcast the seeds over the soil bed and cover it with a thin layer of sieved sand to allow germination.
Maintain a distance of 1.0 feet between the plants.
Sprinkle little water and then as per requirement keeping the soil moist. Flowering starts after 40-45 days post transplant which continues for 80-90 days depending on the variety.
Growing Requirements
Disbudding & Staking
Large blooms can be maintained by removing the side shoots. Also Chrysanthemum tend to bend from the stems due to weight of the flower bulbs which can be avoided by staking the plants with a good support.
soil
Chrysanthemum paludosum white prefers well drained soil or sandy & loamy soil which can optionally be improved with natural compost for better results. The soil can be neutral or slightly acidic with a pH in the range of 6.5 to 7.

temperature
Ideal temperature to grow these flowers is 16 to 20°C(60 to 65°F)
watering
Dry soil will result in distorted & thin plants which can die before blooming. Ensure that the soil is kept moist with a spray of water with good drainage to avoid root diseases.
how to harvest
Chrysanthemum make long lasting fresh flowers; cut the stems long and place them in water immediately for freshness.
