Planting instructions
1)Choose a Suitable Spot: Select a sunny spot for your bulb kit where the exotic flowers will receive at least 6-8 hours of direct sunlight daily.
2)Prepare the Grow Bag: Fill the reusable grow bag provided with a mix of potting soil and cocopeat discs (included). Leave some space at the top for planting the bulbs.
3)Plant the Bulbs: Plant the bulbs in the soil, following the recommended spacing on the bulb packaging. Ensure they are positioned with the pointed end facing upward.
4)Sowing Depth: Dig a hole for each bulb that is approximately 2-3 times the bulb's height.
5)Watering: Water the bulbs thoroughly after planting to settle the soil. Keep the soil consistently moist but not waterlogged throughout the growing season.
6)Fertilize: Use the seaweed extract as directed on the packaging for regular fertilization. This will provide essential nutrients for healthy growth.
7)Weed Control: Keep the area around your grow bag free from weeds to prevent competition for nutrients.
Growing Requirements
Pests
Monitor your plants regularly for signs of pests or diseases. Common issues with bulbs include aphids, slugs, and fungal diseases. Use natural pest control methods like neem oil or buttermilk or reach out to us for advice if you notice any problems.
soil
These bulbs thrive in well-draining, loamy soil. And our potting soil mixed with cocopeat and vermicompost is ideal to grow them.
spot
Choose a well-draining location with good air circulation. If you're growing indoors, place your grow bag near a sunny window or under grow lights to provide adequate light.
temperature
Exotic flowers have varying temperature preferences, but generally, they thrive in temperatures between 65°F to 75°F (18°C to 24°C). Ensure they are protected from frost and extreme cold.
watering
Water your exotic flowers regularly, aiming to keep the soil consistently moist. Be cautious not to overwater, as this can lead to root rot. Adjust the frequency depending on weather conditions; during hot and dry periods, you may need to water more frequently.
how to harvest
When your exotic flowers are in full bloom, it's time to create stunning flower arrangements. Here's how:
1)Select the Right Time: Harvest flowers in the early morning or late evening when they're well-hydrated and at their freshest.
2)Use Clean Tools: Use the hand tools from your kit to carefully cut the stems at a 45-degree angle. This helps the flowers absorb water more efficiently.
3)Choose Complementary Varieties: Combine different exotic flowers from your kit to create visually appealing arrangements.
4)Arrange Creatively: Arrange the blooms in a vase or container with fresh water and flower food. Remove any leaves below the waterline to prevent bacterial growth.
5)Change Water Regularly: Replace the water in the vase every two days and trim the stems slightly to prolong the life of your flower arrangements.
