Types Of Radish
Radish White (Long and Short)
One of the most popular types of radish seeds, radish white comes in two varieties. You could either buy radish white long seeds or radish white short seeds. While the former has straight & tapering roots which are 12-15 inches long, the latter is cylindrical with roots that are only 6-7 inches long.

Sowing Time - Throughout the year.
Sowing Distance - Space the radish white seeds 3 inches apart. If sowing in lines, sow them 12 inches apart.
Sowing Depth - Plant the seeds ½ to 1 inch deep.
Soil Conditions - A well-drained, loose soil with a pH between 5.8 and 6.8.
Watering - Regular watering so the moisture in the soil is maintained.
Sunlight - 6 to 7 hours of complete sunlight every day.
Harvesting - After 40-45 days of sowing.
Radish Red Round
Radish Red Round is one of the most popular radish varieties that sustains cold temperatures. It is round, small, & bright red, giving a crispy taste. This European variety is also known as the scarlet globe.
Tips To Grow Radish Red Round
Sowing Time - May till December
Sowing Distance - Space the radish round seeds 2 to 3 inches apart (plant to plant) and 12 inches apart (line to line). If growing in pots, sow one seed per pot.
Sowing Depth - Plant the seeds ½ to 1 inch deep.
Soil Conditions - A well-drained, loose soil that is high in organic matter, having a pH between 5.8 and 6.8.
Watering - Regular watering to maintain the moisture of the soil.
Sunlight - 6 to 7 hours of complete sunlight every day.
Harvesting - After 30-35 days of sowing.
Radish Full Red
A little more pungent and sharp than the white radish varieties in India, full red radish is packed with nutrition and taste. What gives this radish a deep red hue is the presence of anthocyanins which possess potential pharmaceutical ingredients.

Sowing Distance - Space the radish full red seeds 2 to 3 inches apart (plant to plant) and 12-14 inches apart (line to line).

Watering - Regular watering to keep the soil moist.

Radish Half Red
Appropriately named, half red radish is bright red on the top half and snowy white on the bottom half. It is uniquely oblong and makes for a pretty sight. Packed with nutritional properties, it is rich and delicate in flavour and texture.
Tips To Grow Radish Half Red
Sowing Time - February till September
Sowing Distance - Space the seeds 2 to 3 inches apart (plant to plant) and 12-14 inches apart (line to line).
Sowing Depth - Radish half red seeds must be sown ½ to 1 inch deep.
Soil Conditions - A moist, fertile soil.
Watering - Water regularly to keep the moisture in soil intact.
Sunlight - While full sun is recommended, partial shade works fine too.
Harvesting - After 40-45 days of sowing. Please note that its flavour is the strongest when it is smaller in size. As it grows, the taste goes milder so harvest accordingly.
Radish Pink
The two types of radish seeds for pink radish are radish pink microgreen seeds and radish pink vegetable seeds. You can grow either or both based on your culinary preference.
Tips To Grow Radish Pink Vegetable Seeds
Sowing Time - June till November.
Sowing Distance - While sowing the seeds, space them at a distance of 3 to 4 inches. If sowing in lines, the lines must be 12 to 14 inches apart.
Sowing Depth - Radish pink vegetable seeds are to be sown ½ to 1 inch deep.
Soil Conditions - Well-drained fertile soil.
Watering - Water regularly so the soil remains moist.
Sunlight - Needs full sun on a daily basis.
Harvesting - After 35-40 days of sowing.
Tips To Grow Radish Pink Microgreens
Sowing Time - Throughout the year.
Sowing Distance - Spread the radish pink microgreen seeds evenly and densely on the soil surface.
Sowing Depth - The microgreen seeds are to be covered with a thin layer of soil.
Soil Conditions - Clean potting/garden soil mixed with cocopeat in 1:1 ratio.
Watering - Use a spray can to water the microgreens. Don’t directly splash water on the microgreen seeds.
Sunlight - Full sunlight of about 5 to 6 hours is essential.
Harvesting - 5 to 12 days after sowing. Use a sharp scissor or knife to cut the shoots just above the soil surface of these types of radish microgreens.
Radish Purple Sango
Among the various types of radish microgreens, Radish Purple Sango microgreens are a favourite among gardeners. The way it adds colour and amps up both the garden and the salad is spectacular. Its fresh, nutty, and spicy taste is a cherry on the cake.
Tips To Grow Radish Purple Sango
Sowing Time - Throughout the year.
Sowing Distance - Spread the seeds evenly and densely on the soil surface and cover them with a thin layer of soil.
Sowing Depth - Radish purple sango microgreens are to be covered with a thin layer of soil.
Soil Conditions - Clean potting/garden soil mixed with cocopeat in 1:1 ratio.
Watering - While watering, just spray/sprinkle water; don’t pour.
Sunlight - Full sunlight of about 5 to 6 hours is essential.
Harvesting - 6 to 12 days after sowing. The later you harvest, the less crunchy the flavour becomes.
