How did you start gardening?

Since I was a young child, I have been fascinated by gardening and have watched my elders work in agriculture. However, because I had a lot of spare time during the COVID lockdown, I started gardening myself.
What are some of your favourite plants to grow in the garden?

My favourite plants are all kinds since they have varied needs, and I always learn something new about them. However, if I had to choose just a few, I would say that beans, cucumbers, potatoes, pumpkins, and various flowers are my favourites.
What are some of the plants that you’ve not had as much success with?

Butternut squashes, endives, asparagus, melons, tulips, ranunculus, and a few more types of lettuce have not worked out for me, but I still hope to try again sometime.
Are there any new plants on your wishlist?

Yes, this year I intend to cultivate both new savoy cabbage and calla lilies.
What would you like to say to our new gardeners?

Since I'm still learning, I don't really have any gardening tricks, but from my experience, keeping rabbits has been beneficial because they don't take up much space and I can use their waste to fertilise my plants and feed the weeds in my garden.
Any gardening hack you want to share with us?

As you learn something new about every new plant, I encourage all beginner gardeners to keep gardening. You may initially fail, but persevere; Mother Nature will work its magic; all you need to do is plant, and it will be therapeutic to see your plants grow from small seeds until the time they give fruit.
Any particular Instagram accounts you follow for inspiration?

Among the numerous gardening-related Instagram accounts I follow are @Miniature gardening from Nagaland @Rekha.garden.kitchen from the UK @redleafranch from the USA @ubanveggiepatch @yourorganiclydia @kampunghalamanofficial, and the list goes on.
