Now, as a proud plant parent to around 500 thriving plants and counting, Shweta's garden is a testament to healing with gardening.
How did you start gardening?
I'm Shweta, a passionate gardener eager to share my journey with you. What began as a simple pastime with my Nani ji and now into a profound passion and purpose in my life.
Five years ago, I found myself struggling with the weight of depression, seeking solace in nature's embrace. Amidst the turmoil, I discovered the therapeutic power of gardening- A sanctuary where seeds of hope sprouted alongside vibrant blooms. Today, I'm a plant mom of five hundred plants and still counting.
It's this journey of self-discovery and healing that fuels my dedication to cultivating not just gardens, but a sense of wellbeing and connection with the earth.
What are some of your favourite plants to grow in the garden?
My favourite plants are all the low-maintenance and hardy nature plants Plumeria, Parlor palm, lady palm, China doll plant, Sansevieria, Pothos, Ficus Benjamina and many more.
What are some of the plants that you’ve not had as much success with?
Succulents.

What would you like to say to our new gardeners?
Start gardening now with low-maintenance and native plants. Do some regular inspections, study how your plant responds to your habits and then pour some love.
Also, stop overwatering your plants in the name of love. Please treat plants as living beings and not as showpieces. This message is to those who treat plants as their home showpieces.
