How did you start Gardening?
I'm Purnima, a Passionate gardener and I am excited to share my gardening journey with you. So this journey started unknowingly from my childhood. Once My uncle gave all of us cousins a task to nurture a plant. That was my first time getting interested in gardening ( I think I was 10/11 yr old at the time).
Then after some 5/6 years one day, my Mumma got some hibiscus cuttings from her office and I just put them in soil and Ta-da. It was a successful attempt since then I never stopped!
From 5 pots to I can't even count, now the journey is going on.

What are some of your favourite plants to grow in the garden?
Firstly, it's Hibiscus. I just love them. Currently started Harvesting hibiscus seeds and growing them from seeds, then there are so many like Lillies, Jasmine, Aparajita ( Butterfly pea), Adenium.
Some vegetables also, easy to grow things like herbs etc.
What are some of the plants that you've not had as much success with?
Poppies - trying to grow them from seeds but have not been successful.
Are there any new plants on your wishlist?
Ugh so many! Lotus, Passionflower, Gladiolus, and some more bulbs related plants.
What would you like to say to our new gardeners?
Start from whatever you've. It's a therapeutic journey. What you get in return is much more than you invest. Mentally It's so calming. You'll eventually get the hang of it & of course, we all are learning through the journey and it's so amazing. Start from scratch, make the most use of waste material, and also treat them as living beings.
Pour some love they do respond! Trust me.
Also don't forget to keep some food and water for the birds. I swear it's so heartwarming to witness them take a bath in your garden and have a food party every day.
Any gardening hack you want to share with us?
We learn through our mistakes and yes I've learned through mine. Experience says that except for fertilizers the main and most important part is watering. Don't overdo it. Check the soil before watering.
